Yes, Endometriosis does cause bloating sometimes severe bloating. Endometriosis is a health problem found in women that affects the tissue lining of the uterus and womb. It is specifically the endometrium that is the lining. When endometriosis occurs, this tissue starts to grow on the outside of the uterus and other organs in the vicinity, causing major health problems and severe pain.

Endometriosis typically affects the ovaries, fallopian tubes, the pelvic cavity and the uterus. There are a number of symptoms associated with endometriosis, one of which is severe bloating.

Many women report severe bloating that is at times painful and disruptive to their daily life. This bloating may become severe around the time of the menstrual period. The bloating may also be in combination with bouts of diarrhea, constipation and even nausea. The inflamed tissues give rise to the bloating caused by endometriosis. Not much can be done about it on your own. The symptoms are not fun and because endometriosis does cause bloating, it can cause discomfort and pain along with it.
