What are the WORST Fast Foods?

Worst Fast Foods The War Against Super Size

Fast food is known for being full of fatty meals and unhealthy ingredients. Though the best way to avoid the damaging effects of fast food is to stay away from it, you sometimes cannot escape it, whether you’re dining on the go or don’t have time to cook at home.

Most items on fast food menus are bad for you. Many people opt for salads or lighter options, such as yogurts, in order to eat healthier at these establishments. Deciding what to eat is totally up to  you, but if you want to keep it somewhat healthy, you need to avoid the following items.

1. Dominos Chicken Carbonara Bread Bowl Pasta

This entree from Domino’s consists of dough, noodles, cheese and a creamy sauce, which are all not healthy for you. The majority of the item is made from carbohydrates, and the rest is made from fat, leaving barely any room for healthy items, such as fibers and proteins. The Chicken Carbonara Bread Bowl Pasta contains 1,480 calories, 56 grams of fat and 2,220 mg of sodium. You could eat three pieces of pizza and still intake 900 less calories. Now that’s food for thought.

2. McDonalds Big Breakfast

It’s shocking that one of the worst fast food items from McDonald’s is a breakfast item and not one of their many oversized burgers. The Big Breakfast at McDonald’s, which contains a large biscuit, eggs, hash brown and hotcakes with syrup and butter ,will give you more than two-thirds of your daily caloric intake, coming in at 1,370 calories, 64 grams of fat, 2,335 mg of sodium and 49 grams of sugar. The only good thing on the plate is the eggs and everything else is very unhealthy. The syrup alone is equivalent to two packages of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

3. Burger King’s Large Triple Whopper with Cheese

Add this oversized burger with the fries and Coke of a value meal, and you’ll be consuming 2,110 calories, 104 grams of fat and 2,270 mg of sodium. Alone, the whopper contains 1,200 calories, making it one of the most unhealthiest burgers on the market today. If you eat just one of this Burger King value meals once every week, you could end up gaining at least 30 pounds.

4. Hardees Monster Biscuit

The Hardee’s Monster Biscuit does contain 30 grams of protein, but when 700 calories come from fat, it defeats the purpose of protein. Add in a large hash brown, and you’ll take in 1,170 calories, 79 grams of fat and 2,800 mg of sodium. Thats a very unhealthy way to start off your day.

5. Long John Silvers Fish Combo Basket

Some people think that opting for fish makes the meal healthier, but when the fish is battered, deep fried and comes with a side of fries, these people become sadly mistaken. While deep frying is still a popular cooking technique among numerous fast food chains, some of these companies have switched to healthier oils in their deep frying process.

LongJohnSilvers still uses dangerous fats with grease in order to cook their food, making it more unhealthy than people think. Though it is the less unhealthiest option out of the bunch, it still provides you with 830 calories, 46 grams of fat and 2,040 mg of sodium.

By knowing which foods from fast food restaurants are the worst for you, you will know to avoid them the next time you frequent any one of these places.
