According to McDonalds official site a 32 ounce sweet tea has 280 calories and a whopping 70 grams of carbs. You might as well be drinking a giant soda pop. A smaller 16 ounce size comes in at 150 calories and 33 grams of carbs. Just one sip of the tea and you can tell it must have a ton of calories and sugar in it. Many people say it is too sweet. Add a quarter pounder to the mix along with your sweet tea and you’ll be consuming nearly 800 calories!
If you’re trying to watch your calorie intake, one of the worst things you could do is drink a McDonalds sweet tea. It is filled with empty calories and tons of sugar that is converted right to fat unless you happen to engage in physical activity to work those calories off. It would take over 30 minutes on a treadmill to work off a large sweet tea.
