Nectarines are a great tasting fruit full of vitamins and antioxidants. It is recommended that people consume at least three servings of fruits per day. One nectarine is considered a serving. So how many calories are in a nectarine?
There are 60-65 calories in a medium nectarine that is approximately 2-2.5 inches in diameter. Nectarines are very nutritious, and are pretty low in carbohydrates compared to other fruits. In fact, the same medium nectarine has only 14-16 grams of carbohydrates in it.
It’s not too hard to understand that nectarines are low in carbs because of the sour taste. Many other fruits have higher carb counts that are given away by their sweetness.
