Losing 50 pounds in a month is an extraordinary feat. If you extract the numbers, that is nearly 1.67 pounds per day or over eleven pounds a week. This number is not feasible if you want to lose weight the healthy way, and keep it off. Experts recommend that losing more than 2-3 pounds is unsafe and could be detrimental to your health. Most doctors agree that losing more than 1-2 pounds per week may result in gaining the weight back over the long-term because of the speed in which the weight was lost.
Rather than losing a large amount of weight in a compressed amount of time, opt for a more reasonable and healthy goal. Fifty pounds lost may be the end result you want to achieve, but spread the time out over the course of several months. Even if you lost five pounds a month, it would take you less than a year to shed all of the weight you want to.
